So this morning, Erica calls to tell me that we’re going out to dinner with Deena for her b-day. So I head to her house at six tonight, and we go to this place called Dome, up in Hockessin, that I’d never heard of.
People, if you ever get the chance, GO THERE. It’s in Lantana Shopping Center, and it was FABULOUS. Oh my gosh, the food was so good. So good. We had nachos and spring rolls and some italian cheese and tomato bread dip for appetizers, and then I had baked ziti for dinner…wow. And creme brulee for dessert…whoo, boy. Yum. Yum yum.
A little pricey, but it was so worth it.
So I made my appointment with H&R Block today for this coming Saturday. I’m super excited (I know how sick that sounds) to get my taxes done this year. Hopefully things will work out more my way this year than they did last year. I’ve got all my tax stuff ready to go, my W2’s, and 1099’s, and all my donation thinamajiggers. I’m all set. Sadly, Stephanie, the superwoman of H&R Block is on maternity leave now and can’t do mine again this year. But, it will all work out for the best.
Yay for H&R Block!
While I was watching the OC last week it dawned on me that the first African American person I saw wasn’t on the show until the middle of the first season. What really bothers me is that I didn’t notice until that episode. Shame on me for not thinking anything of it. I brought it up to Jason, and his response was “well, I’m sure there aren’t many minorities in Orange County.”
Bullshit. What about Asians? Or Hispanics? Shame on me and shame on Fox for making the show so white, white people don’t think twice.
So now it’s time for my world-famous rice crispy treats! Yum yum.
I, unlike my friend Brian, was able to make it to Walmart and back today without witnessing any amorous action in the Walmart parking lot. And, I got Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life there, too. Whoop!

This is my Lilly, being anti-social on top of my kitchen cabinets.
So while talking last night, Brian and I find out that not only did he go to Sallies with my ex-fiance, but he knew him. And, not only that…but one of my best friends was one of his good friends and we probably attended some of the same parties in highschool but WE STILL NEVER MET.
Huh. Delaware really is a small wonder.
