I’ve reached a milestone of sorts

I’ve officially been boy-free for over a month now. What’s sad is that this really is a record for me, this hasn’t happened for oh….a good two years or so. So only two more months before I can officially begin dating again, according to the timeline Mitch and I came up with.

Oh dear. Isn’t that a scary prospect? Perhaps I’ll just abstain from dating for good, not having to deal with all the goofy bullshit is kind of freeing, in a way.

Or not.

AZ, no more cancer or ringworm!

Oh my god it’s so good to be home. At least this time my cell phone actually had service, so I could talk to people like GQ on a constant basis. That kept me sane while walking across Coyote Trail Pass fifty billion times over the weekend.

Sedona was amazingly beautiful, pics to follow. We didn’t really do much of anything, which was nice. Red rocks are very pretty. Did alot of thinking. Scary, I know. Eating is good, Cheryl is my hero. We got Ric on Weds night, once back in Phoenix, and that was none too soon, let me tell you. She and I are two peas in a pod, Ric and I. Missa was like to drive me nuts. So then the walking commenced.

And we kept walking. And walking. And walking. But it was so worth it, besides some sort of a sprained foot and a hyperextended left knee. Oh my gosh, it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. So we’re going back next year. Yes, yes we are. In Philly, no less!

So Ric discovered a new tumor on Sunday night, freaking us all out. That was really scary. But Tuesday, she went to her Oncologist and had it checked out and it was negative for cancer, PRAISE JESUS!!!! So Ric called me on her way home from the doc, and tells me the news, and Ray is in the background yelling “Tell your sister she still has to come over and paint this weekend, even if you’re not dying!” That Ray, always a cutup.

Oh, and I got promoted yesterday, too. And, Benny doesn’t have ringworm. So he really DOES have crop circles in his fur.

Weird Dream

Last night I had a dream that Lee and I started dating again. It got graphic. It was so bizzare. He and I actually talked about that the other night, but we both completely realize that dating is not the road either of us should pursue with each other. I think we’d both spontaneously combust (not in a good way, either).

What an odd coincidence

So on my way to Jersey for a site visit Monday, on 195 E, I pass this guy in a classic Mercedes. It’s red, a convertible, with the top down. The dude driving is wearing John Lennon sunglasses. Memorable. So on the way back from the site visit, about two hours later, I pass THE SAME GUY, on 195-W.

That was the strangest thing that’s ever happened to me, I think. What are the odds of that happening? It really was THE SAME GUY.

Milla Jovovich is my absolute hero

So Mike and I went to see Resident Evil 2 on Tuesday night. It was fantastic, except the portion where they gave Nemesis his own little leather costume to wear so he’d be even more kick ass than he was before. He’s a nine foot tall green mass of muscle and rage, people. He’s mean enough. But Oded Fehr was in it, and Milla was in it, and if I could have either of their children I so would. It was excellent. Better than the first one. Even Mike was impressed. Now I think I’ll have to cajole someone else into going to see it with me. At this point I think I’ll have to branch out of the tri-state area.

Oh, that was a good, good dream.

So last night I had a lesbian dream involving a woman that used to babysit me years ago, whom I haven’t seen since that time. But boy, it was a good dream. Yep, yep.

Altoona has really fucked up movie theaters

So I went to go see Resident Evil 2 while in Altoona tonight for work, and damned if they were closed when I went in at SIX THIRTY IN THE EVENING. It was also quite the ghetto theater, as well. So the moral of this story is, if I do move here, I guess I’ll be going to visit Tom at Brandywine Regal to see any movie in the theater.

I saw a bumper sticker on a car yesterday that said “I heart carbs”. I need that bumper sticker. It rocked.

So I feel lucky I live in (or near) DE. We have commerce banks. Which have Penny Arcades. It’s like a coinstar that doesn’t charge you a commission for counting your coins. Yippee! So I got fifteen dollars for my change that was sitting around the house. What fun! And, they threw in a free commerce bank piggy bank for my trouble. Fun stuff.
