Suprising finds at the ranchette…

So the plans for tonight fell through, no big suprise there. I will never learn. But, because they fell through, I got to start on some chores I’ve been putting off, namely, cleaning up the kitchen. And as I was putting stuff away on top of my cabinets, I found a copy of Jackass that someone left behind before I moved in. I’ve never seen it. Johnny Knoxville, here I come.

under the sea….

So guess who just got bright turquoise blue paint for their kitchen? As if my house wasn’t noticeable enough with the hooker red living room and six cats. So I’ll have a fishy-under-the-sea theme going on for my kitchen. Fun stuff, that.

that was unexpected

Well, last night turned out MUCH differently than I had expected it to. Rick had invited me to a party at her friend Erin’s house, and I went. I was expecting a bunch of nurses and me. So it turned out to be a bunch of nurses, me and this guy Dave, who was cute as he could be. And tall. That was quite a nice suprise. Oh, and young, too. 21. Ha! He’s the second guy I’ve met that looks just like Colin Farrell, although Dave was much taller. So he’s a tech at AI Childrens hospital. So talking with him was a fun time, and dammed if the night before I didn’t tell Rick “no dating for me till January…if there’s a guy that’s interested, he’s gotta be interested enough to wait till next year.”

Dave doesn’t quite strike me as that kind of guy, but he was quite nice to look at.

Then I come home and see that one of the babies has knocked a gallon of strawberry daquiri mix onto the floor…and it exploded. So yeah, I didn’t get any sleep last night.

Oh, so glad it’s finally over.

Next Friday, I’ll be in Seattle. Rain is bad, but seeing GQ will more than make up for shitty weather. Thank god for good friends.

Oh, the talent is astonishing

Because I’m just that cool, I just gave myself a papercut on my lip trying to seal a thank you card. Nice job, self.

I’m a hazmat!

I mentioned this in a post a while back, but my superpower seems to be my ability to repel relationships. Yep, I’m still single. But with what’s been going on around me, it’s probably better that way. I’m sure I’d be hazardous to anyone’s health. I’m a biohazard!

I am that crazy lady

So I just got my cats pet insurance. Yes, I know, who does that. Well, I do it. Getting them insured now makes more sense than waiting till something horrible goes wrong and the insurance won’t cover that indication.

Man, am I that crazy cat lady or what?

Oh, I’ve so fucking had it.

I don’t think anyone could have a worse week (well, I’m sure someone could top me, but I’m not really asking anyone to. It was a shitty week.)

Two car accidents on Monday (no, I’m not kidding…two of them.) Then Alex and I break up, but he doesn’t know that yet because he refuses to talk to me because of quals. I’ve never in my life met someone so completely able to shut off every aspect of their life other than studying. So there’s that. Apparently we’re due to have a big “talk” once the quals are over, whenever the hell that might be. Who knows. So then someone who apparently thinks I’m either a man or stealing her man (which I am most certainly not) vandalized the back of my house on Friday night. And Ansel has worms, which was a very minor emergency requiring a huge trip to the VCA.

But, I still have a job, all my friends were great about the car thing, and I still have a house and 6 cats.

I’m seriously contemplating just up and moving to somewhere in the midwest: a large acre plot, a house, lots of space for the cats and no people. That is my dream right now. No people.

And baby makes seven….

This was found on IU’s campus last weekend. There were a few more, which we happened to snap with a real camera, not just my cell. Posted by Hello
