I’m really lucky I don’t drink. It’s weeks like these that you’d probably find me in an alcoholic coma or checked into rehab somewhere. I should probably check myself into rehab anyway, just to be on the safe side.
Oh, god. Anyone have any Xanax?
So I made some new friends today when I went to see Riddick. The movie itself was phenomenal…shiny eyes! Mezmerizing! Anyway, moving on. So I sat behind three guys that sat with a seat in between each of them, so none of the three was sitting directly next to any other one. That made me laugh, which they commented on. I asked if one of them had cooties; they told me they just preferred their personal space. The one on the end had a great shirt…the back said “I can hear you, I’m just ignorning you” or something similar. He also had awesome tats on his forearms. About which I commented. He also had a great southern accent.
Yay for fun new friends.
So last night we (Alex and I) went to Erica’s for a game night. It was supposed to be Friday night, but Ricky decided that Friday night was Buffy marathon night. She’s such a nerd. Alex and I decided to boycott, as neither of us are huge Buffy fans. So we stayed home and made dinner instead.
So we end up at Erica’s with a ton of food, and start playing House of Corpses or House of the Dead or something for xbox. It has guns. That you can shoot. I fell in love. So Erica and I start killing the hell out of Zombies for a while, before Cheryl shows up. Alex and Ray got along like I knew they would. Alex is a younger, more in shape version of Ray. I’m Erica’s twin, nine years younger. So I think this means that Alex and I have to get married too. I’ll talk to him about that soon. So we eat, and Mac brought me my own personal cowboy hat! A black leather cowboy hat! He told me it’s my Redneck Woman hat. I love it, so I wore it all thru dinner. Alex told me I looked hot. So we played trivial pursuit. And it was boys against the girls. And we lost hardcore. Alex and Ray are a very ruthless knowledge machine. It was scary. So Cheryl and Mac left around ten, and Ricky, Ray Alex and I went to Charcol Pit for Icecream, and of course Alex wouldn’t eat it.
I really do think I broke something laughing last night.
Apparently people in MD have never seen someone singing along to a CD before. I turned quite a few heads on my way to and from Altoona yesterday and today. And, I almost caused an accident on 95S, not by my driving, but because I caught the eye of some guy next to me. I was singing along to Gretchen Wilson, and this guy was apparently watching me while I was doing so. So he waves, and I wave back. Then he keeps waving and paces my car. So I blew him a kiss. And he almost ran into the bumper of the guy in front of him. Ooops. So he waved again and took off. Probably for the best.
So I started looking at houses in Altoona while I was out there. Cheap! Beautiful! But Pam has already decided that I’m moving down there instead. To TN, that is. I’ll just move in with Mark F. and get the show on the road, she says. Oh, and I talked to Chad this morning, and he made me laugh as always. Yay!
Who would you fight for? To keep in your life? I’m reading a really wonderful book that Cheryl gave me, called The Saving Graces and it got me thinking about who I would fight for.
My mom, of course. My dad. Cheryl and Mac and Ray and Erica and Carl. My cats (how goofy, I know) Missa. Dorothy, Randy and the girls. Pamela Penland and her wonderful family. GQ. Liz. Ginger. India.
I don’t know what I would do without them all. They all mean so much and I’m so thankful that they’re in my life.
Well, I just found out who was leaving all the nasty comments a few months back. And, it wasn’t who I thought it was. I feel horrible now for accusing him, and am not sure if I should say anything to him or not.
But wow, what a suprise.
So it’s been a while. Well, I’m not dead, although for a couple days there I did wish something along the lines of a bus hitting me would be just peachy.
So last weekend was probably the best weekend I’ve had in a long long time. My friend Ed finally came home from Iraq/Germany (he relocated to Germany for a while) and we finally got to get together. He is a FUN TIME. And, he met Cheryl and Ray and Erica, and they liked him! So, I finally meet a guy that isn’t action packed with issues or broke or both, but….he lives in Germany. He’ll be home in August for a few weeks, which will be nice.
Then, to make the weekend even better than that, the students moved out. So now I’m in posession of a new couch, a new coffee table for the new couch, a whole bunch of new pillows, new shelves, miscellaneous kitchen accessories (a new george forman grill! And, a bugs bunny waffle maker!) We got Cheryl a new bed for Simba Loo Who (the story to follow) and a feather bed for my mama. And, Cheryl and my mama got to hang out. So that was good.
Then this week, one of my sites found out their being audited by the FDA. Heaven help us. And then…one of my other sites seems to have narced on them. Great.
But, GQ does get to come, for a shorter time, but he’ll be here with me the whole time.
So my basement looks like a furnished room now, wonder of all wonders.
And I got to see Alex. That was wonderful, as always.
